Tokyo Monogatari

In late 1943, Shirakawa, a pilot who has seen combat in multiple global locations, returns to Tokyo after an extended absence. He is assigned to the Imperial Army Air Test Center. Upon his return, he attempts to reconnect with his wife, Mariko, and reestablish a domestic life.
