Yoakemono

Gin and Jinrou are a pair of boys who work together in the mountains. Gin believes their best option is to go to the capital and enlist in the Shinsengumi. However, they quickly realize they are unprepared for the harsh realities there. Jinrou notices that some individuals, including existing Shinsengumi members, have a wild, animal-like presence and possess strange powers. Following Gin's death, Jinrou resolves to grow stronger and take his place by joining the Shinsengumi.
