Koudo Ikusei Senior High is a top-tier school known for its advanced facilities and high success rate in university placements or employment. Students are allowed to express themselves freely through their appearance and personal items. However, this apparent openness hides a system where only the top students receive real advantages. The main character is placed in D-class, a group for students considered less capable, due to a mistake in his entrance exam. In this class, he meets Suzune Horikita and Kikyō Kushida, and his circumstances begin to shift.
