A young character named Kou experiences a recurring nightmare in which a massive monster destroys a city, with him inevitably being crushed by the debris. Unlike typical Shonen Jump protagonists with grand aspirations, Kou's dream is a terrifying one. His life changes when he encounters a mysterious man who appears to have knowledge about the creature from his nightmare, leading to a shift in the meaning behind his visions.
