He is a Japanese folk singer-songwriter, actor and director. On the 25th April 1972, he released his debut single and biggest hit "Sekishoku Elegy", based on Seiichi Hayashi's [manga by the same name](https://anilist.co/manga/39138/Sekishoku-Elegy/).
