Ép. 3: Ryouta rencontre Kiyoshi Taira, qui révèle les règles mortelles du jeu de collecte de puces de l'île.

Ryouta discovers that Himiko possesses a case full of food and before he can inquire about it she runs away. He gives chase but loses her in the bushes. Ryouta then uses his sonar to try and locate her but instead, it leads him to a man defecating in the bushes. The man introduces himself as Kiyoshi Taira, after Ryouta threatens him to reveal what he knows. Kiyoshi explains that he was also approached by two men after which he woke up on a cargo plane with 30 or so other people. There, they were told by a cheery-looking man that they will participate in a death game on a remote island in the Pacific and the only way off is to collect 8 chips from other participants after they are killed. The people grow furious upon learning of this but masked men armed with tazers subdue them. Kiyoshi also explains that Ryouta was the most outspoken of the group and seemed to know the man in charge. However he was then tazered in the head which explains his lost memories. At this point the plane reaches the island and everyone was forced into parachutes and thrown out. Ryouta realizes that the group who created Btooom!,Tyrannos Japan was probably most likely responsible. Kiyoshi and Ryouta decide to team up to improve their odds. Soon they notice another plane dropping food supplies onto the island and Ryouta races after one. However a woman reaches it first but is killed by a trap set by another player who takes everything and leaves. Ryouta and Kiyoshi then contemplate on whether they should pursue another parachute but eventually decide to since they would not be able to defend themselves if their strength is low.
