Ep. 3: Ryouta encounters Kiyoshi Taira, who reveals the island's deadly chip-collecting game rules.

Ryouta chases Himiko but loses her, instead finding Kiyoshi Taira defecating in the bushes. After Ryouta threatens him, Kiyoshi explains that he and thirty others were kidnapped and forced onto a cargo plane. A cheerful man announced a death game on a remote Pacific island where participants must kill others to collect eight chips for escape. Masked men subdued the angry group with tazers. Kiyoshi notes that Ryouta was the most vocal opponent and was tazed in the head, causing his memory loss. The plane arrived at the island, forcing everyone to parachute out. Ryouta suspects Tyrannos Japan created Btooom!. The two team up to survive. They spot a food drop; a woman is killed by a trap, but Ryouta and Kiyoshi pursue another parachute to secure supplies, fearing weakness. They find a bloodied boy who appears to have killed another player during the scramble.
