A mission to discover new Shinkalion drivers from all over Japan has begun. Hayato is visiting Akita City in Akita Prefecture, where the first driver candidate is. When he loses his way and slips on his feet due to being unfamiliar with snow, he is helped by a cool boy named Akita Oga, Although they parted from each other on the spot, Hayato happened to be seated next to the boy when boarding the Shinkansen E6 Series Komachi on the way home.
