Souten no Ken

A man known as "the King of Death" travels the streets of 1930s Shanghai, a city divided among foreign powers and Chinese factions, each controlling separate quarters with corrupt rule. Gangs dominate the streets amid widespread lawlessness and violence. Once, a warrior named Yan Wang fought the city's criminal forces, using his mastery of Hokuto Shinken, a deadly martial art. After eliminating the worst gangsters, he vanished and is now said to be in Japan. Several individuals have journeyed to Japan seeking him, but it remains unknown who will locate him first.
