When Okabe and Kurisu arrive back at the lab with the IBN 5100, Suzuha has a strange reaction upon meeting Kurisu. Daru uses the IBN 5100's special programming language to decipher SERN's encrypted files, discovering that various humans had been found dead in a gel-like state at various points in time. Kurisu deduces that this jellified state is the result of matter passing through a gap in space-time smaller than the size of the matter itself, effectively squeezing and crushing it at the molecular level.
