Okabe and Kurisu bring the IBN 5100 to the lab, where Suzuha reacts strangely to Kurisu. While Okabe gathers parts to connect the computer, Suzuha warns him to be careful around Kurisu. Daru uses the IBN 5100's unique programming language to decode SERN's encrypted files, revealing that humans were found dead in a gel-like state across different times. Kurisu explains that this condition results from matter passing through a space-time gap smaller than the matter itself, crushing it at the molecular level. After learning about SERN's experiments and their timeline implications, Okabe is shocked but vows to perfect his phone microwave before SERN can.
