The girls confront a new enemy, Haters, during their prolonged stay at the Egg World, and to combat them, Acca and Ura-Acca give them Pomanders, animal companions that can help them battle. Ai protects a schizophrenic patient named Yae Yoshida from her invisible Wonder Killer. When the Wonder Killer knocks Ai unconscious, she recalls that earlier in the day, her mother revealed she is dating Mr. Sawaki, and Neiru suggested that Ai's anger over this may have been because she is in love with Mr. Sawaki herself. Using Yae's rosary beads, Ai forces the Wonder Killer to reveal itself and it vanishes, having been acknowledged at last.
