Bitter Virgin

A high school student dismisses a reserved new student after she avoids his advances. He overhears her confessing a traumatic past involving abuse and an abandoned child, which shifts his feelings toward empathy. Unaware he knows her secret, she grows more at ease around him, thinking he has no romantic interest. Their evolving connection is challenged by envious peers.
