Mazinger Z

Mazinger Z is a pioneering work in the Mecha genre, featuring a robot made from Super-Alloy Z designed by Professor Juzo Kabuto to combat the Mechanical Beasts of Dr. Hell. After his grandfather's death, Koji Kabuto takes over as the pilot of the robot and continues the fight against Dr. Hell and his forces. The series is notable for being the first to depict a pilot operating within a Mecha, a convention that has since become standard in the genre.
