After F.F. defeats the alligator, Ermes and Jolyne find out that Maxx became an invisible ghost and escaped the pipe after his body drowned in the sewage. He lures the two into the prison's mausoleum and brings back several dead prisoners to get revenge on Ermes for killing him. Ermes allows herself to get attacked and uses Kiss's ability to locate Maxx after he takes a bite out of her head and completely annihilates him before passing out from her injuries. Jolyne uses Maxx's discs to review his memories before she is taken to the Ultra Security House Unit. (Source: Wikipedia)
