Following F.F.'s victory over the alligator, Ermes and Jolyne discover that Maxx survived drowning in the sewage by becoming an invisible ghost. He lures them into the prison mausoleum and summons deceased prisoners to avenge his death at Ermes' hands. Ermes endures a fatal bite to her head, allowing her Stand, Kiss, to pinpoint Maxx's location. She subsequently annihilates him but collapses from her severe injuries. Meanwhile, Jolyne utilizes Maxx's discs to access his memories before being transported to the Ultra Security House Unit.
