The Detective Boys inform that there have been rumours about flavour change in Ramen restaurant "Ogataken", so they, Conan and Haibara come to the restaurant to verify this. Ogataken has been opened for 32 years by Masashi Ogata and now it is run by him and Kosaku Ogata, his son. In addition, this restaurant also has signatures from famous people who came here to eat and commented that it was delicious. The Detective Boys give a taste of the Ramen and comment that the flavour is different while Conan notices that the shop owner never turns his face around, with the Detective Boys confirming that the owner and his son alway quarrel at each other, leading to the suspicion that the son did something to him and replace with another.
