At 11:30 during a bird watching trip, Kogoro, Ran, and Conan see a suspicious person looking around before going to his truck containing two electric appliances through binoculars, but Conan points out something that suggests their detective work is not going to be put on hold. The police arrive at the scene as usual, and Takagi brings along the victim's older brother, Akihiro Kurotaki, who also notices something unusual about his younger brother's guitar case.
