JB drops Yuuji off at the Academy and kisses him on the cheek, causing discomfort. Sachi witnesses this but promises silence, though she later sends the photo to Amane, sparking jealousy. After a shower and dinner, Yuuji questions Amane’s persistence. She claims it was love at first sight but breaks down, revealing she knew his sister, Kazuki, on their middle school basketball team. Shocked, Yuuji agrees to let Amane be his girlfriend, provided he does not have to act as her boyfriend. Amane then gives him a journal documenting the tragic events that befell the team, as she is the sole survivor.
