Detective Sato pursues a murderer through a school building where Conan, Haibara, Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta are present. She corners the suspect but accidentally handcuffs him to a toilet handle, trapping them together. The man claims he is innocent and must catch a plane tomorrow for his daughter's wedding. Sato instructs Takagi to solve the case quickly without informing the police. Meanwhile, the Tokyo police department launches a massive manhunt for both the suspect and Sato.
