Kenshiro suspects that the man with the helmet is one of his Hokuto Shinken brothers and leaves the village to find him. Ken then learns that Jagi, a former brother-in-training, is trying to tarnish his reputation. In a flashback, Ken and Jagi are shown competing to be the Hokuto Shinken successor.
