Kenshiro suspects the helmeted stranger is a fellow Hokuto Shinken disciple and departs the village to investigate. He discovers that Jagi, a former training partner, is attempting to ruin his reputation. Flashbacks reveal the intense competition between Ken and Jagi for the role of successor. Ken eventually locates Jagi in a village where the latter is committing serious crimes. Ken prepares to face his former brother directly regarding these heinous acts and Jagi's malicious efforts to tarnish Ken's name.
