Naraku is reborn from Mount Hakurei, in which the mountain is part of himself. He collects and merges all the shards of the Shikon Jewel, revealing his completed demonic transformation. Inuyasha attempts to attack Naraku with the Wind Scar, only to have that attack absorbed and reflected in various parts of the cave. Kikyo witnesses Kagura from the mountain with an unusual bundle. Kagome senses Koga's presence within Naraku's demonic aura, dispersing the Wind Scar and releasing Koga from the demonic aura.
