Koiko no Mainichi

This is a manga adaptation centered on Sabu, a member of a Shinjuku gang, and his young wife Koiko, who try to live a peaceful life despite the gang-related conflicts and illegal activities surrounding them. After an incident in which Koiko saves Sabu's life, Tominaga, the gang leader, develops romantic feelings for her. In order to create a situation in which he can take responsibility for Koiko, Tominaga puts Sabu in dangerous situations designed to result in his arrest. Once Sabu is imprisoned, Tominaga would then be obligated to care for Koiko.
