第9話: アヤノが家族の秘密と蛇の脅威を発見する
Kenjirou introduces Ayano to her three new adopted siblings, Kido, Kano, and Seto. The trio warn her that they are monsters and that she should stay away, but Ayano refuses to leave them alone, and plays with them. Kano tries to make Seto into a villain for their new game, on which he draws on his face. Ayano interrupts, and they all eventually mark their faces, resulting to create a group called, “The Graffiti Rangers,” for the meantime. It cuts to August 15, where the four siblings were informed of their parents' accident with a landslide while they were researching on site. Only Kenjirou makes it out alive, and the family fills up with remorse from the death of Ayaka. While she tries to make her siblings happy, Ayano accidentally stumbles upon her mother's old journal, where she learns about the Heat Haze and finds out that her father has a pair of red eyes as well. As Ayano studies her mother's journal again in the middle of the night, Kano enters the room. She makes him promise not to tell anyone and explains everything she found out to him. Ayano asks him to use his eye power at school to pretend to be her, while she investigates more about her father's eye ability. The duo eventually discover that Kenjirou has a sort of double personality, and his snake is trying to bring all the snakes in to the real world, using Takane and Haruka as the sacrifices. The snakes who already have a physical body gathers around the “queen snake,” who turns out to be Marry. Kano tells Ene about all the information he gathered, as they walked into Takane's old school. At the end of the tunnel, Kano reveals Takane's body preserved in a big, liquid filled container. (Source: Kagerou Project Wikia)
