In Konoha, Sai confronts Sakura over how Naruto's persistent of bringing back Sasuke is because he has always been in love with her and wants to honor his promise to her. At the Summit, Ay is livid over Mifune suggesting Danzo to lead the Shinobi Alliance despite the samurai stating legitimate reasons for his impartial decision. But Mei Terumi's bodyguard Ao, having acquired a Byakugan years ago, discovers that Danzo implanted Shisui Uchiha's Sharingan in place of his right eye and accuses the acting Hokage of manipulating Mifune's decision to Ay's rage.
