Although badly injured, Crimson Snake is defiant and refuses to provide any more information to Shengqi. The threatens to kill her, but is interrupted by the arrival of White Phoenix. He warns him against Crimson Snake's poison but as a member of the Peasant Family, Shengqi is impervious to poison. White Phoenix says her life belongs to Quicksand, and cannot be taken by him, and bets that he can save her from under Shengqi's sword, Juque. White Phoenix succeeds, but is wounded. The physical and verbal sparring between them continues, while White Phoenix tries to escape with Crimson Snake.
