Kaoru seems equally mesmerized by jazz and Ritsuko. Regarding the former, he meets 'Brother Jun', a college student and jazz trumpeter whom Sentarou idolizes. When Jun, Sen, and Ritsuko's dad start up an impromptu jazz session, Kaoru finally joins in on piano to make it a quartet.
