At Kurata, Tarō and Makoto meet Sanae Oogami, Makoto's mother, and Makoto makes a failed attempt at killing her. Tarou recognizes Sanae's lover, Masato, as the Snark. Meanwhile, Masayuki discovers spirits in the biotech research facility in an O.B.E.
