Mai's Cyber Harpies continue to destroy Joey's monsters and reduce his Life Points. Joey is only one attack away from defeat, but Mai finds herself unable to go through with it. Joey is too worn out from his last duel to continue dueling Mai and the Orichalcos takes his soul. Mai is freed from the Orichalcos' control, even as she swears to destroy Dartz.
