Mai’s Cyber Harpies relentlessly attack Joey, lowering his Life Points to the brink of defeat. Although only one attack remains, she cannot bring herself to finish him. Joey, exhausted from his previous duel, falls to the Orichalcos, which claims his soul. Freed from the Orichalcos’ influence, Mai vows to destroy Dartz. Meanwhile, Kaiba engages in combat against additional Orichalcos soldiers. Yami, Téa, and Tristan locate Joey, who has been left soulless by the dark forces.
