54화: 디지 Destinied는 아포칼리몬의 최종 공격에 맞서고 집으로 돌아가기 위해 준비한다

A battle erupts between the kids and Apocalymon and they prove victorious with WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon mortally wounding him. Refusing to die alone, Apocalymon executes his suicidal Total Annihilation attack which would destroy everyone and everything. But the DigiDestineds' refusal to allow the destruction of both worlds causes their Digivices to form a barrier to contain the blast. With Apocalymon destroyed, the Digital World starts to reformat itself back to normal, and the DigiDestined arrive to File Island to see Ogremon taking his leave. Soon after reaching the lake, the DigiDestined decide spend the rest of their summer in the Digital World. However, Gennai and Centarumon explain that the worlds' time is now synchronized and that the DigiDestined have two hours to return to their world or the portal will close forever and they will cease to exist as a consequence of the reformatting. Each of the DigiDestined spends their final moments with their Digimon partner, save Mimi as Palmon ran off. When the time comes, the DigiDestined enter the trolley car which would take them home as Palmon arrives at the last second to say her good bye to Mimi.
