The monsters continue to cause problems worldwide, as another flock of Rodans descends on New York. Mei begins looking into Ashihara's research from the 1960s and finds a reference to something called the "Orthogonal Diagonalyzer," before being approached by Yukie Konoko, a government agent, who unknowingly helps her to make an important realization regarding the archetypes: they can bend and distort the fabric of space-time. Professor Li is intrigued by this, and invites Mei to join her for a trip to London. Back in Japan, Gorou and Jet Jaguar continue their battle with Anguirus, but the monster overpowers Jet Jaguar and then defeats a team of soldiers by deflecting their bullets. Gorou borrows Gen's harpoon gun, and Jet Jaguar fires a harpoon into Anguirus from point-blank range to bypass its precognition, seemingly killing it. In Tokyo Bay, a military fleet intercepts the group of Mandas, but they soon discover that the Mandas are being pursued by a much larger monster. Anguirus regains consciousness, having only been wounded by the harpoon, and goes on a destructive rampage. Gorou pilots Jet Jaguar against it, but Anguirus decapitates the robot and Gorou is knocked unconscious. Yun uses Naratake, his AI, to bring Jet Jaguar back online, and pilots it back into the fight. Jet Jaguar fires another point-blank harpoon into Anguirus's neck and kills it, breaking off one of its spikes in the process, but Yun is injured by the explosion. (Source: Wikipedia)
