The space ship boarded by Sonic and his friends, the Blue Typhoon, arrives on the planet Hydo, which was robbed of its Planet Egg and became flooded as a result. Sonic and Chris board a landing vessel to find the Planet Egg, but Sonic gets captured by the Metarex. As Amy takes care of Sonic's rescue and Tails provides the X-Tornado to pick them up, Chris ends up having to assist on this mission using the skills he had acquired over the past six years in his own world.
