Shinpachi mieszka w zanieczyszczonym mieście, gdzie dostarcza wątpliwej jakości sushi yakuzy, aż do przybycia Haruko.

Shinpachi doesn't see much of a future, and neither does anyone else in his town. Everyone knows the steam emitted from the giant iron-shaped factory on the hill is bad for them, but nobody can do anything about it, so they don't try. The kids don't bother to go to school, and the adults don't bother to make him. He just works in his dad's sushi restaurant delivering questionably edible fish to the yakuza, and occasionally hangs out with his classmates Orinoko and the rock-skinned alien Shonori. But then a beautiful woman in a red dress walks into the restaurant on the arm of the mayor, who calls her Haruko… (Source: ANN)
