25EP 25Equipe Akamatsu enfrenta robôs no ModeWarp, levando à queda de Miyako e à explosão trágica de Kaede.
24 de set. de 1999The search for Hinoki leads the Akamatsu Industries team to ModeWarp headquarters, where the group instead finds 12 irate robots blocking its path. The neuronoid carrying Keita, Sakura, and Mr. Akamatsu is quickly surrounded and shot down, but Yanagi, Kaede, and Miyako manage to defeat what they believe are all the machines. There's one more, however, and Miyako is separated from her friends during the attack and plunges down a deep shaft, presumably to her death. The last robot, meanwhile, is finally beaten, but there's little time to savor victory as Kaede starts laughing uncontrollably: a sure sign of Algernon. She then triggers an explosion that destroys her neuronoid, killing Yanagi, herself, and their unborn baby. Though Sakura and Mr. Akamatsu are nowhere in sight, Keita has managed to survive the crash and awakens to find himself in a pool of linker gel -- the substance that powers the neuronoids -- at the bottom of ModeWarp headquarters. Only a few feet away from him is Hinoki, resting motionless on a table. Keita only has time to take a couple of steps toward her before Dr. Mamon jumps out from behind her. Making his entrance shortly afterward is Betterman, but the doctor isn't shaken in the least, because everything's going according to plan. Mamon needs Betterman to continue the research started seven years earlier by ModeWarp's parent company, an experiment that sought the development of the perfect human. Mamon turns himself into Brahman, and even Betterman's seed of Nebula may not be enough to overpower him, especially when the creature draws its strength from the vast quantity of linker gel that surrounds them. 26EP 26Dr. Mamon se transforma em Brahman para atacar Betterman enquanto Kankel caça os Somniums restantes.
1 de out. de 1999For Dr. Mamon to evolve into the perfect human, he needs to combine his own genetic structure with that of Betterman's. Now that Betterman has arrived to save Hinoki, Mamon can turn into Brahman and put his fiendish plan into action. Using the seed of Nebula alone will have little effect on the powerful Brahman, since the creature draws its energy from the linker gel that surrounds them. Betterman, therefore, wisely concentrates his attack on that energy source, and Brahman is destroyed with relatively little difficulty after the linker gel has evaporated. Like their last encounter, Kankel appears once the fight has ended with the intention of killing the very last of the Somniums. This time, however, Seeme is not around to sacrifice her own life so that Betterman can continue with his mission, and he suffers what is most likely his last injury. Keita attempts to destroy Kankel with the neuronoid, but is quickly brushed aside, left for dead floating in the ocean just out of the reach of Hinoki. Also clinging to life are Mr. Akamatsu and Sakura, who we learn have a very special relationship. Akamatsu is trying to get what's left of Miyako's crashed neuronoid to move so that he and Sakura can escape before the scheduled United Nations bombing. Miyako, incidentally, is also alive, though she'll wish she'd never been born after she learns the true reason behind the spread of Algernon. Will any of the characters survive, or will Kankel be free to destroy what's left of mankind? (Source: GaoGaiGar-Betterman Wiki)
