A free-lance writer comes to do a story about the Detective Boys. They go along with their teacher to the writer's apartment, but when they arrive they find that he has been bludgeoned to death. Conan immediately notices that there is blood wiped from one of the buttons on the answering machine as well as blood on the doorknob. He suggests that the culprit may have left a message to establish an alibi. Haibara warns Conan not to show off because he'll attract attention, so he tries to guide Takagi and Megure to the clues in his usual childish manner. The Detective Boys on the other hand feel like Conan's childish antics are making them look immature. (Source: Wikipedia)
