Ep. 435: Freelance Writer Investigates Detective Boys Before Murder Discovery
Aired on April 17, 2006

435
A freelance journalist visits the Detective Boys and their teacher at his apartment, only to find him bludgeoned to death. Conan detects wiped blood on an answering machine button and the doorknob, hypothesizing that the killer left a message to create an alibi. Haibara cautions Conan against showing off to avoid drawing attention, leading him to guide Takagi and Megure toward the clues using his typical childish behavior. Meanwhile, the Detective Boys feel that Conan’s immature antics are making the group look foolish.
