Hetalia World Series

This anime series consists of the third and fourth seasons of the original work, continuing the story under a new title. It is based on a manga by Hidekazu Himaruya, originally published online. The series is set in Europe between 1915 and 1939, using exaggerated, comedic portrayals of various nationalities represented by androgynous male characters. Each character embodies traits associated with their respective nation, such as one who enjoys pasta and romance, another who favors potatoes and sausages, and a character with interests in technology and pop culture. The manga, from which the series is adapted, has explored settings ranging from ancient history to contemporary geopolitics. The title combines Japanese terms meaning "useless" and "Italy."
