HIGH CARD

Finn, a street-dwelling orphan, seeks to save his orphanage from financial ruin by heading to a casino to win money. He stumbles into a violent confrontation involving a man with a "lucky" card, which leads to a car chase and a deadly shootout. Finn learns that the conflict stems from 52 X-Playing cards capable of granting superhuman abilities by unlocking an individual's inner "buddy." A covert team known as High Card, operating under the king of Fourland, works to recover these scattered cards while working for the car company Pinochle. Finn is recruited as their fifth member for a perilous mission to retrieve the cards. Their efforts are opposed by Who's Who, a rival car manufacturer, and the Klondikes, a notorious Mafia family. A high-stakes struggle ensues among those vying for the cards, driven by motives of justice, ambition, and vengeance.
