Jan 9, 2023Iris infiltrates a castle to steal a suitcase containing magic cards but is intercepted by an unseen woman who scatters them via wind. One month later, pickpocket Finn, fearing the eviction of the Sun Fields Orphanage, attempts to raise funds by gambling in Bell Land. After being cleaned out by card sharp Lucky Lunchman, both are accused of cheating by a pit boss. A guard reveals a 3 of Diamonds card that turns objects to marbles, threatening Lucky’s family to force him to surrender his 10 of Diamonds. A car salesman wielding a 5 of Hearts intervenes, sparking a fight. Finn escapes with the 10 of Diamonds in the chaos, but both pursuers survive a fiery crash. The marble-wielding man attacks Finn, who defends himself using his 2 of Spades card to summon a revolver, only to face the revived car salesman.

Finn joins Pinochle dealership after surviving Chris Redgrave and defeating Rockin Rock
Jan 16, 2023Finn and a car salesman hold each other at gunpoint until Vijay intervenes with vine powers. Finn wakes up at the Pinochle dealership on Old Maid Street, where Chris Redgrave attempts to kill him. Bernard receives a call from the Pinochle President and offers Finn a chance to prove himself. Finn is hired as an apprentice under Chris. The next morning, they confront Rockin Rock, who uses the 3 of Hearts power to resist their attacks. Chris lures the attacker into his car and drives into a river. Rockin Rock releases his power before drowning. Finn shoots through the window to help Chris escape the sinking vehicle. The President warns Bernard that Finn will be fired without results, while other High Card members mock his weak card.

Finn rescues a kidnapped boy who is revealed to be High Card member Leo during a firefight with Nix.
Jan 23, 2023Finn intervenes when two men, Jake and Carter, kidnap a wealthy boy to avenge their father’s factory closure. After police arrest the group, the kidnappers’ sister Nix breaks them out. Nix uses her 7 of Clubs power, Lethal Scoville, to create flames and capture Finn and the boy. Finn frees himself using a stolen key and traps the brothers under scrap metal with his Nambu, but Nix melts his bullets. Chris arrives and throws a suitcase containing one million dollars to the boy, who is revealed to be Leo, a High Card member. Leo uses his 7 of Diamonds power, Never No Dollars, to swap the cash for a bazooka that defeats Nix. The resulting explosion topples a scrap metal idol, but Finn saves Leo from being crushed. The following day, Finn learns Leo is the son of the Pinochle President and head of the Old Maid office. Leo delivers Nix’s card to Owen while his father ignores him.

Finn steals a client from Chris while Wendy is late, leading to a bank robbery crisis involving a new Player.
Jan 30, 2023Finn takes a client from Chris at Pinochle, causing Wendy to arrive late. Chris later explains job rules to Finn, emphasizing that Wendy must not get drunk or draw her sword. The next day, Wendy recalls her father’s advice and arrives on time. During a bank robbery, Chris is shot protecting hostages but revives using his card’s power. Wendy arrives to help, using her Ace of Spades card to summon Love and Peace. She defeats the thieves with her sheathed sword, but one thief, revealed to be the Player John Doe with the 4 of Hearts power Agent S, takes Vijay hostage. John Doe splits into four clones, trapping Wendy. Remembering her father’s words, Wendy unsheathes her sword, allowing Love and Peace to take over. Love and Peace defeats John Doe but then attacks the High Card members until Finn knocks the sword from her hand, putting Love and Peace back to sleep.

Junior Detective Sugar Peace investigates suspicious case closures and a mysterious death involving the Klondike family.
Feb 6, 2023Junior Detective Sugar Peace suspects irregularities at the Shield Police Department regarding closed cases and released Persons of Interest linked to Pinochle. John Doe offers to testify against the Klondike family in exchange for witness protection, but Sugar assigns him to another detective and begins surveilling the Pinochle dealership without success. Veteran detective Greg Young attends a Ban Klondike charity event where he witnesses Ban kill John Doe telekinetically. Later, a Klondike family member crushes Sugar’s police car with a bus using telekinesis and nearly shoots Sugar before stopping, issuing a warning. Finn advises Sugar to drop the investigation. Greg questions Ban about missing X-Playing cards, receiving only a reference to "X-Blind." The following day, Sugar refuses to abandon her inquiry after Greg informs her of John Doe’s death.

Feb 13, 2023An auctioneer recounts the legend of Trapla and the True King while introducing the X-Playing Card 5 of Diamonds. Norman Kingstat arrives to purchase the card, prompting the High Card team to execute a heist. They aim to swap the magical card with a fake, but the plan faltens when Blist uses his Million Volt power to attack Chris. During a bidding war between Norman and Leo, Finn’s seasickness causes Leo to miss his opportunity. Despite these setbacks, the card is ultimately stolen by a telekinetic woman from Klondike, who escapes the scene in a helicopter.

Finn and Chris chase Chelsea over a love curse while Chris visits his sister Michel.
Feb 20, 2023Finn and Chris try to steal the 2 of Diamonds from Chelsea, but she activates its Love Connection ability, forcing their hands together. They pursue her through Shield, but she refuses to lift the curse until she finds her soulmate. Finn suffers a nightmare about a black-armored knight before joining Chris on a date with his younger sister, Michel. Michel assumes the duo are a couple due to their joined hands, and Finn plays along. At a cafe, they encounter Chelsea working part-time. Michel invites her along to test Chris, but Chelsea enjoys the time with Michel. When Michel collapses, Chelsea releases the card’s power so Chris can rush her to the hospital. There, Chris learns Michel was in hospice care and had snuck out for a final visit. Chelsea promises to return the card upon finding her soulmate, and later Chris and Finn discover she is now a waitress at their Crazy Eights bar.

Feb 27, 2023Finn attends Lindsey's birthday at the Sun Fields orphanage, where she reveals the facility will close in the Spring. He offers money from his new job to save it, but Lindsey refuses due to suspicion about his sudden wealth. Bobby Ball arrives seeking revenge, setting the building ablaze while Finn protects the children. Bobby uses two X-Playing cards to activate X-Hand, transforming into a monster with regenerative marble limbs that shrug off Finn's bullets. He taunts Finn about his family's death in a fire before a mysterious missile destroys him. Finn then recognizes that his recurring nightmares of a black knight in a burning house are repressed memories, leading him to question Lindsey's involvement in the deception.

Mar 6, 2023Following the murder of Crown Prince Dylan by the Klondike family in Spada, Theodore directs High Card to retrieve all X-Playing Cards. Bernard arranges travel across Fourland, but Finn remains isolated in his room for two weeks after the Sun Fields incident. Chris persuades Finn to join a mission to Polostick to help him cope. Their journey is interrupted by Klondike members Jasper Libera and Alex. Jasper uses his 2 of Clubs power, Metallical Parade, to threaten the pair, revealing a mole within High Card. Alex attempts to crush the train with a rock, but Chris counters by threatening to kill Finn to acquire both cards through Calories High revival. Jasper attacks Finn with a chain-sickle, prompting Chris to kick him into a river below. Chris then holds Jasper off the train edge to stop it, while an unconscious Finn is discovered by a dark-skinned woman and her dog.

Mar 13, 2023Finn regains consciousness in a cabin where Arya reveals she saved him. Elsewhere, Jasper tortures Chris to locate his card, noting his refusal to use Calories High for healing. Alex searches for Finn, while other High Card members remain on standby. Arya explains her past as an agent under Theodore, who worked with Chris's father, Tyler. Disillusioned by Theodore's cruelty, Arya disobeyed orders to help Tyler save Chris using an X-Hand and all five cards, a feat that cost Tyler his life. Arya subsequently left High Card and lived in isolation. She gives Finn her Jack of Clubs card, but Alex attacks to steal both cards. Arya uses her power, Coming Home, to crush Alex, who blocks with G Round. Chris escapes Jasper and helps defeat Alex. After retrieving the 5 of Clubs, Chris shoots Finn to conceal his past.

Mar 20, 2023Chris contemplates his history, noting similarities between himself and Finn. Finn awakens in the Pinochle office to discover that Chris shot him in the pocket holding his indestructible X-Playing Card, which saved his life. Finn is instructed to remain behind while High Card members protect the Royal Family from the Klondikes. Chris employs Chelsea to retrieve his gear but faces police assault due to Theodore’s order to shoot him on sight. Ban organizes armed terrorists to strike the Fourland palace and dispatches Nhat to assist Chris’s escape. Lindsey visits Finn at the Pinochle office, presenting a money order from Chris to rebuild the orphanage. Finn recognizes Chris’s familial regard and deduces his true intentions, rushing to the hospital after Chris takes Michel. Finn pleads via phone for Chris not to sacrifice himself, but Chris flees, surviving a sniper shot from Owen using his Calories High power. Owen subsequently informs Finn that he is fired for disobeying Theodore’s orders.

Finn and Chris race to the ferris wheel while Klondike terrorists storm the palace.
Mar 27, 2023Klondike terrorists attack the palace as High Card members defend. Pinochle agents incapacitate Finn to stop him from interfering with Chris. Sugar attempts to rescue Finn, but he hijacks her car with Chelsea inside. Ban disables a police checkpoint blocking Chris, asserting the cards' autonomy. Finn and Chelsea deduce Chris is taking Michel to their last date spot, the ferris wheel. Nhat destroys their vehicle, wounding Chelsea before Wendy, possessed by Love-P, intervenes. Love-P strikes Nhat, but Greg knocks her out with debris. Chris arrives at the ferris wheel and plays the X-Hand of all 5s to trade his life for Michel's. Finn rides with Bernard, while Leo builds a bridge with his Never No Dollars power but runs out of funds. Finn uses his Neo New Nambu to shoot a card from Chris's hand. Three days later, martial law ends in Shield. The X-Hand partially heals Michel at the cost of half Chris's life. Both Finn and Chris are re-hired at Pinochle, with Chris demoted under Finn. Nhat is impaled by a black knight's sword.
