A witch named Baba Yaga resides in a remote water mill surrounded by brambles, where she keeps the Egg Princess as a servant and makes her perform all the labor. One night, a lump of dough is animated by the witch’s magic and becomes a living being. The Egg Princess, frightened by the witch, forms a bond with the dough and they attempt to escape together. The film, shown at the Ghibli Museum and Ghibli Park, is set to Joe Hisaishi's arrangement of Vivaldi’s La Folia.
