Transformers the Movie

In 2005, twenty-one years after the Autobots and Decepticons resumed their war on Earth, the Decepticons have taken over Cybertron. A surprise attack sparks a brutal battle in Autobot City, during which Optimus Prime is killed by Megatron. The Matrix of Leadership is given to Ultra Magnus, the Autobots' second-in-command. Megatron, severely damaged, is thrown into space by Starscream and meets the planet-devouring Unicron. He is reborn as Galvatron, the new Decepticon leader. As Galvatron gains power and Unicron approaches Cybertron, the Autobots must protect the Matrix to prevent destruction.
