Akai Numa

A girl named Kagome was left at a shrine honoring Kishimojin, a deity associated with childbirth. She has long believed in the existence of another self, and she begins to see Kishimojin as central to understanding this. When she enters the shrine, a violent event occurs, leading to bloodshed in her mountain village. The story connects this to the idea that offering a red fruit, symbolizing blood, might appease the god.
