A strange occurrence called the Var Syndrome is slowly spreading across the galaxy eight years after Macross F. A new group of skilled Valkyrie pilots must confront this growing threat. In addition to this challenge, the Aerial Knights, a Valkyrie team from the Kingdom of Wind, arrive to compete against the Delta Squadron.
