Ookami no Seiza

A manga partially inspired by the real-life Japanese horse bandit Hakuro Kohinata, it portrays the life of Kensaku Ohinata, who relocated to China as a child, was captured by horse bandits, and climbed the ranks among them. He later led a group known as Xiao Dongyang. His adventurous and ambitious nature, combined with a brave and cheerful personality, occasionally results in playful trouble. As he becomes an adult, he faces episodes of delusion. The work is considered one of Mitsuteru Yokoyama's most realistic and human portrayals, drawing from another historical figure, Date Junnosuke, to depict the realities of Chinese horse bandits.
