Tsukishima Satoru, a high school student, is approached by Saotome Yae, a talented female boxer, who confesses her feelings to him. He declines her advances, concerned that accepting might interfere with her boxing aspirations and provoke her admirers. Shioya, Saotome’s female coach, learns of the rejection and arranges for Tsukishima to become her trainer, allowing them to spend time together discreetly. His background in boxing makes him a suitable candidate for the role.
