Yama ni Sumu Kami

A deity resides on a mountain with a tiger under his care. A woman travels alone to meet him. A village tormented by a tiger offers its daughter, Hyeon-na, to the man who kills the beast. Unwilling to be seen as a prize, Hyeon-na journeys to the mountain where the tiger resides. The narrative includes five short tales: one about a song by a Yue woman, the deity on the mountain, a girl taken away, a folding fan decorated with peach blossoms, and a brothel ruled by women.
