Kenshiro leaves Lin and Bat with Mamiya and sets off alone to find the remaining ones. He arrives at a town and finds the inhabitants being mistreated by soldiers under the command of a man named Souther. Souther has proclaimed himself the "Holy Emperor", seeking to conquer the world by the century's end and using innocent children as slaves to build a pyramid-shaped mausoleum, which he boasts will stand as a symbol of his greatness.
