After graduating from the Animation Department of Tokyo Designer Gakuin he joned Studio Giants, later working at [Gainax](https://anilist.co/studio/6/Gainax) during the production of [Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise](https://anilist.co/anime/1034/Royal-Space-Force-The-Wings-of-Honneamise/). He became a close collaborator of [Hideaki Anno](https://anilist.co/staff/100111/Hideaki-Anno), occupying high positions in all of his productions.
